Don Pepe 2

Part of this adventure is finding quant places not in the tour guides. One such place is Don Pepe 2 in Padrón. It didn’t look like much from the outside, but inside was a time capsule of decades of pilgrims who had wondered in for a coffee or beer and who had left items from their home countries. Don asked us to sign his journal, which we gladly did. On the shelf behind the bar were many other such journals…what memories they must contain…greetings from pilgrims across the globe. After our espresso and tea, Don gave us hugs and pilgrims blessings.

I will miss Don but will always remember his warmth and smile.
