Cathedral at Orvieto

imageThis is simply a stunning building. Not as grand as Notre Dame, but clearly from the same time period. The facade is so ornate with the images depicting the Bible carved into the front entry ways. This was doing because most people, unless they were clergy, could not read Latin; they could understand the carved images.
